Weighing in at 0.3oz (compared to the 0.7oz OEM cover) and with a height of 9/16″ (compared to the 1″ OEM cover), this little module helps to fit the Digirig unit in size-sensitive installations, such as radio man-packs.
Note: As with the OEM Digirig case, this unit is NOT IP-rated for water or dust ingress. The USB and audio/serial ports remain unshielded from the elements. The biggest benefit of this unit is the size–nearly half that of the OEM case.

Amazing thought behind trimming down the DIGIRIG by HALF!!!! This has been a true hero for space saving in my system as I do a lot of field work using digital modes. The precision in the design leaves doing this swap a breeze. And the unit has held up too many hikes along with a lot of abuse as my gear is bought to be used and used extensively.
